The thoughts of suicide we're mostly only a part of my life when I was amongst Jws , my life outside of the ORG has been of little resemblance regarding this aspect , I feel better about myself mostly because I became more courageous in life , and began having a better understanding of what really can and can not be discerned by use of certain scriptures .

Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?
if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

The Watchtower are Right About Blood...
by cofty in... but, they fail to take note of one important detail.. i believe that if we are going to have any chance of reasoning with a jw about blood, this is the place we need to begin.. don't try to convince them that it was only a dietary law.
it wasn't, and they will never go along with it.. don't tell them that saving a life is more important than obeying a law, even a seemingly trivial one.
they take pride in obedience.

Blood in scripture is shown to be something very special , not just a commodity , to save a life using blood if that is what it required surely would be OK , The business of blood collecting I believe would be quite questionable , where one is selling their blood . One donating blood to the known person receiving it surely would be doing a fine thing I believe , that is my opinion , especially if such is amongst family even more I believe , but ones should seek alternative if possible . -

I believe you are on the right track , previous discussion where I referenced my 25 translation bible seemed to show such light on the matter , remember also King Saul's son and many other Israelites ate meat without draining the blood or anything else , they just killed the animals and began eating , this was just after a battle , King Saul planned on killing his son for this , but was advice d not to by the priest I believe. but not sure , They all were forgiven . GOOD POINT INDEED I BELIEVE -

Many have given good advice on here . If the child's dad is alive and a witness , I don't expect there would be any way to keep the child from studying with another witness , and being baptized , if the child's dad by blood is not a witness and has nothing to do with his son by choice ( unlikely ) , and you truly are wanting to do right in the eyes of God , I think many have given you good support . I hope for the best . -
